Photos of your bike on location

Today. Longer mileage test. 150 in the book.

Starbucks first cause I needed to spend $9.

Alba was nice just went up and back because it was over cast and cold.
Back to 36 and hit the now open view spot.
That took forever to get open.

Then 84 to Pescadero Creek. Chased a Mama and baby Turkeys off the road.

Hit Stage… ran over a snake. Sorry dude. You looked straight like a tar snake.

Good day.

Based on average diameter for a Coast Redwood, that's gotta be around 2000 years old.

Goodbye to Shelter Cove deserved another boat launch shot.

Northernmost part of Hwy 1 before the climb (or in my case today, descent) to/from Legget.

Another North Coast picture before I put my nose to the grindstone to charge downhill and try my best to avoid the crowds.

I can see Bolinas from here.

I've been at that first turnout over the beach a million times.
And EVERY time, with a smile on my face.
Thanks for posting the pics and trip notes.
As much as I say I love the section from Leggett to the ocean, when I ride it, I somehow love it even more than I remember! I rode Branscomb Road last year on my way north, and while that is a good road, for me, it doesn't compare.

I agree. I usually get to ride Leggett to the coast both ways in the same afternoon. I am Blessed.

This trip has shown me parts of Northern California I never knew were so good. And all of it is within striking distance of Bend. I love being back in the Bay, but it definitely takes some effort. I can see more NorCal trips in my future. Like "State of Jefferson", NorCal.

Wait, there's dirt off Alpine?
It is a miniature “park” near the bottom before you get to the Pescadero Creek junction. There is a park bench there. You can see the entrance in the left of the picture. Alpine Road is to the right of my bike, you can see the grade. This is along the creek.

I’m sure whoever uses this would be super stoked to see me there on my bike!

216 miles solo today, and this picture is all I have to show for. @ Muir beach overlook. These guys were cool. They picked up my gloves and put them on my bike after I unknowingly dropped them while walking around. Definitely would have had to cancel the ride early had I lost them…

Went for a rip on Mines yesterday. Found this big boy in the middle of the road so I stopped to save him. But not before playing with him for a bit. He was a bit feisty at first, but calmed down pretty quickly…
