Just got away from a dog. Didn't want to go too fast on the loose downhill.

Pretty, but that used to be the road - the way out. It was getting dark. Hard to turn the heavy bike around on a loose downhill. If I couldn't turn the bike around or dropped it, it was a long hike. :( It took some efforts but got it done. :ride

Don't forget about the side stand pivot.

I don't recommend using it alot, but in your situation, it might have been easier than struggling with back and forth. If the ground is too soft, you can always put a piece of wood or a rock under the stand.

Made it there in one piece

Here is a sample of some of the stuff.

Paul showed up on one of his 500's. Also John from Santa Cruz came by (not on a bike).

Bye for now.

I put a rock under the kickstand, which was on the downslope side. The ground was soft. I tried to do the kickstand pivot turn but was afraid the bike might topple over me. Ended up lifting and dragging the rear downslope an inch at a time, using the kickstand as a pivot, until the nose pointed slightly uphill. It was a thrill to get going again.
