Approximately 600miles into a set of PR3's on my 600RR. I'm blown away at the amount grip they offer as well as the confidence they inspire. Some said turn-in suffered with ST rubber, not at all the case for me. I like these way more than the Q2's I just pulled off. Don't see why you would need anything else on a streetbike. Michelin, you have my monies :thumbup

Just switched to the Angel GTs after a good 11k miles on my PR3s. I miss the PR3s already. The Angels work just fine, but don't have the same plushness and confidence the PR3s did. I couldn't pass up the deal with the Angel GT promo though. Only paid $165 for the set. Just passing the miles until I can get another set of PR3s.

I don't blame you, $165 is a steal. The cheapest I could find the PR3s for was $311 shipped. If I get 7-8k out of them, I'd be extremely satisfied. Assuming they don't turn to garbage 2/3's of the way through.

Great tire! Bike Bandit offers them for a steeper discount and includes free shipping.

Looking forward to putting a set on before "winter".

The PR3 tread design, particularly the front tire, appears to be an optimal choice for wet/cold road conditions.

Another interesting tire choice for wet/cold conditions is the Dunlop D616.

The Some said is the fly in the ointment...

1. different riders use their tires differently..so..different experiences and opinions are out there.

2. ST tires have been changing (thanks to racing engineering) at such a rapid rate...
obsolete opinions are still being "said".

Bottom line, :thumbup Welcome to the wonderful World of the Sweet Street Tire :ride

I took up the angel GT free front tire promotion.

I only mounted the front tire so far and I like it a lot. better than the PR2 front.

never used the PR3 but that's on deck, after the GTs are worn.

1,000 or so miles on my PR3's; best tires I've ever had thus far.

Love the PR3's Night and Day difference on my VFR coming from BT023's.

love the PR3's! The PR3's are my step-fathers tire of choice for the ironbutt rally, as well as other LD rallies throughout the country. He has finished the ironbutt on his loaded down BMW RT1150 on 1 set of PR3's, yes 1 set for 11k miles on a bike carrying full gear and 9 gallons of fuel. Make sure you are anal on the PSI because the extra siping does allow the tire to flex more and if you are up in the canyons playing, the tire is being worked real hard and if your not in the PSI range, you will start to chew up the front.

I switched from the OEM B021's to PR3's and OMG, what an upgrade.

They feel softer, grip like crazy and give confidence.

Very satisfied.

I looooove mine! They've held up extremely well for 6K and still have a lot of life left in them.

Do ST tires generally like more or less psi? I'm at 34/36 currently

Generally the same psi numbers as sport tires.

If you're loaded up with a passenger then maybe 2-3 extra psi.

I have a set of these on order - should be putting them on this Saturday.

I always used to run Michelin PP's (original and 2CT) in the past and loved them - and I'd get 6k+ miles out of a set on my Z1000. Curious to see how the PR3's compare to the PP's.

I got in on that deal with the Angel GTs, even bought a second rear from a BARFer, but once these are done, I'll be back on the PR3s.

Much better feel on the road, more planted, slightly more resistant to changing lines, but not enough for concern.

I have Pilot Road3s for my BMW K1200rs and VFR, couldn't be happier with them.

Man, maybe it's just me but I'm on my first set of PR3s and while they're ok, I much prefer the less-rounded profile of the PR2s.
