What do you have to tell the DMV if you have a bike you intend for track purposes only? So it wont be registered or even placed in PNO status.

Basically I have a bike I dont want to pay registration fees for as I will be shipping it out of the country.

Thanks!

if it's non op forever, then just don't pay. it'll fall off the system at some point. i used to ship bikes overseas (cebu) and never had any issues with dmv chasing after me. you'll only run into problems if you want to register it again before it falls off.

I hope it helps!

Do this, it's cheaper and the correct, legal solution: You can still legally transport your trackbike on the roads. Technically, you cannot do that on a planned non-operation, even if it's in the back of a truck. A cop would never hassle you about it, but the point stands.

Thanks Jerry, will just not pay and it will eventually fall off the system. I dont plan to register it in the US once it is shipped out of the country.

Thanks but I wont even be transporting it in the US. Just want it out of their system.
