This is a 1980 KZ750 LTD I had until I recently donated it to a friend. I rode it everywhere, as did my son before he went into the Army. It didn't look so good when I gave it away, but I am hoping my friend gets it back on the road again.

yes, I said that because of the multiple threads and opinions going on here regarding "vintage" "classic", et al. :thumbup

We've got a week and a half left for people to get their votes in on what we consider to be vintage.
 
My BMW R75/5 project.
Luckily, the motor was already done. R100 top end, BMW hot cam, lightened flywheel, Mikuni's, Dyna Ignition, short ratio rear end.
I've since converted it to a long wheel base as the short wheel base config was just too twitchy.
I've added sandblasted and clear coated Lester wheels, a braced swingarm.
Still trying to decide what class in AHRMA to commit to.
It runs really well and sounds even better.
I've done a trackday at B/W couple years ago and that's where I learned that the short wheel base was crazy.

1978 CX500 Standard, with quite a number of performance mod's.
Still pretty much looks like this, but I've been having spark troubles.

Nice pipe RedDucky! That is the system I always wanted to put on that bike. I hated the one that was on it, as it never quite fit.

It's awesome to see that old girl still on the road, and it looks like you are taking real good care of her. :thumbup

its vintage.. sorta-ish. the front end is modern, and its running a modern computer controlled ignition and LED lights. but the heart of the bike is still 1971 vintage!?

It's about 75% finished, I have to do the final parts of the engine/carbs/suspension/wiring/exhaust which always takes the longest :laughing.

It started off as a 550, I put the 650G top end on it (673cc's now), retrofit a kickstarter, 650E tank, GSXR-750 front end, 750 spokes with a custom adapter to use them with 320mm discs and the inverted forks, 954rr calipers, custom wiring harness (with RFID ignition), digital gauge, de-tabbed frame, etc.

The 650 makes 73hp stock and I'm hoping this will weigh in under 400lbs wet. It should be a fun ride whenever I finally finish it. I have a 900SS fairing for it too :).
