My bike is disgusting. I think the only thing that qualifies it to be in this thread is it’s an ‘87, and even that may not be good enough.

My RZ350 Racing at Sears Point (Sonoma Raceway)

I don't have this bike anymore, but would love to get another RZ. Had a blast at Sonoma Raceway back in the late 80s.

Thanks, The Interceptor was fun, but the RZ was much better. The RZ's flex a lot so I used to have other racers say they hatted being behind an RZ because they did not know if we were going to wreck at any moment. It was fun passing new 600's and 750's in my practice bracket back then on an older ratty RZ.

Totally agree. I had a Yamaha rep tell me once that the 'flex' was engineered in on purpose.:rofl. Either way, super fun.
I loved the VF500 when ringing its neck near Redline. It sounded great with the aftermarket 4-1 Hindle.

Here is a bike that I owned for a few years. 1968 Triumph TR6 with #s matching engine and frame. It was largely stock, other than the hardtail, and I had all the restored, original parts. The bobber cosmetics were done by a guy in Antioch, but he never rode it. Once I started riding it every weekend the painful reality of it not being reliable set in. It would pop 30A main fuses and burn tail light bulbs almost every ride.

O' Hanlons helped out by fixing some interesting main circuit wiring in the headlight. I rebuilt the entire primary with new parts, installed all new ignition system components, and removed the massive Keihin in favor of a brand new, premium Amal carb (with the proper slide and jetting for a single carb).
My friend welded brackets for the cocktail shakers and my uncle turned steel sleeves to take up the gap from shakers to pipes. Misc parts and Whitworth fasteners were purchased at Rabers (I miss that place).

After all that the bike was SUPER reliable, and almost always started on the first fuel kick. I rode it every weekend and oftentimes on Fridays when commuting from home in Half Moon Bay to work in SF. Definitely the coolest bike I ever owned. Everyone loved it!

I never posted a picture of a project I alluded to years ago.

So here it is:
My 1958 Royal Enfield Indian “Tomahawk” 500 twin.
I’d posted a photo of it with a bunch of incorrect parts, which was taken before I took it apart to return the engine to the bike it was stolen from. I had obtained correct parts to rebuild it as it was originally made.
It made it into the 2018 One Moto Show in Portland, which was sponsored by Indian Motorcycles that year, so all the Indians were featured in the main hall of the show,

Found a photo of my Indian Enfield and a friend’s 1921 Scout race bike, which we’d just unloaded at The One Moto Show in 2018. They received front and center placement.

Bitch :afm199 slapped by my past again,

Art Deco barn selling antiques, along Main St, sporting auto/bikes too.
Recently flooded, along with RV park, bunch of businesses, Hwy 1, from Morro Creek.

Surrounded by Hondas, that '65 S-90 with the bent long runner intake vs. '69 CL-90, short central intake. '74 ? CT-70. Last year a blue mini trail was featured.
All stuff I wanted, and rode back from 'mid '60s, coming full circle again with my modern mini.

My second bike, this one new.

Here is one of my Fatboy, the final modded setup.
Vacaville's Creek Walk, local bike show.

After I posted, I got to remembering the day, the one big (my world) thing I did.

After my setup for the show, I wandered, , ,
In the vendor area, there was an older rigid, stretched, chopped, Iron head sporty, for sale.
She was propped up with a short side stand, so she leaned a bit, with the gas on she dribbled fuel. I don’t think the owner was there, someone wanted to hear her run, volunteers lined up to abuse the kick starter, around 10am. I knew then, as the way it was going to happen, she would never start. I owned a 69 XLCH, I knew, , ,
I cruised by @ noon, line of wanna be starters is getting longer, same drip from the carb, no chance.
I walked to lunch across the street, downtown Vacaville, the line still flowed.
Long about 3pm, with trophies for the show due @ 4pm, I got in line for my turn.

I climbed on and stood her upright to kick, turned off the gas and spark. A couple of guys wanted to hold her up, wouldn’t let me do it. So I opened up the throttle WFO and started stomping. Compression wasn’t too high, kinda easy to pump air thru her, maybe a few minutes before I turned on the spark. Still took a while before she started to spit and fart.

After maybe 5 hours of free entertainment, I DID spoil the party, she ran, , ,

Lupe won my bike class of “cruiser”, she had all her buddies from hog vote for her, another ballot box stuff. Third one up, purple

I still think I “won” that day.

Dang, I went down that road with the gas crisis, my peanut tank @ 2 gal, sporty, wouldn't get me to every other day, odd/even plate #

My 74 R90/6 two weeks old, up @ Kennedy Cabin, past Oroville on a branch of the Feather. Kept her for 80 k miles, traded for a 64 XKE

After I sold all my bikes, to build a Jeep, the jeep didn't cut it.
I bought this I believe a 78 R100, kind of a rat, she had rod knock too.

Stripped down to this, I could reach in and change out the rod bearings for the fix.

Seat, paint, TLC, , , Taa Daaaa
I didn't have parts to play with, I was looking for a HD, cam & carb fun
Bought the Fatboy
