That sucks, best wishes to G”s mom… needs to be stable.

I wouldn't want to walk under a ladder or piss off a black cat or whatever other superstition.
Ha. Just lifted the car on ramps…trying it out.

Don't ask me, I tend to avoid this store due to reputation and location. The above are from the Irish shop (haha) O'Reilly's (formerly known as Krakens.. Auto Parts: 🥁)

Car is down by now,

Psp I remembered that there's a $89 $99 low profile jack at harbors that I would be lusting after...

Harbor freight is awesome. Quality of stuff has Evolved tremendously. I have an inside track membership. I think the jack is on sale.

I've had a low profile floor jack from HF for ten years and have beat the hell out of it lifting trees. I think it bypasses before its max rating because I've abused it, but it'll still get half a Suburban in the air pretty easily. Would definitely buy again.

How does the ”bypass” work? Do you hear a click? Or that’s only for the scissor jacks.

I assume there's a relief valve that opens at a certain pressure to connect the pressure side to the return side, but if not, then it's just leaking past the seal.

Oh and what you hear is the fluid moving (hissing).

Hanging out with Mom waiting for surgery I miss my dog is that bad?
