Using a 1/2" wrench to tighten wheels during a f b X-wise wheel rotation. I never know exactly what it means "finger tight". Like really really touching only with the fingers?

I do that but then I get the range and just grasp its head with my wrist and turn a little more.
 
We are in Marina and went and looked at the waves this morning. They are big.

I made brunch, it was good, now I'm not sure what to do with the rest of the afternoon...
 
I had a funny conversation with my mom on the phone last night. She was reminding me of one year when I was a kid, she cooking Xmas brunch/dinner. I threw away some of the important ingredients she needed because I didn't understand the difference between sell by dates and expiration dates. I thought she was gonna cook food that would get us sick.
 
Well, I've apparently gotten a wild inclination to clean, so at least the place will look pleasant for a week or so.
 
my dude asked me what i had planned for today. making chile colorado (takes all day). the look on his face was a mixture of pleased and disappointed (pleased about the food, but he obviously had another plan in mind). out with it. he said he wanted to make a trip to bass pro shop. i’m not interested. then he added - and go for sushi after. okay, now he had my attention. shopping done, and the food was excellent. may need a nap now though (full belly, and a little too much draft sapporo and hot sake this early in the day). zzz’s incoming.
 
Got a reservation tonight for a nice dinner at a local spot that does a set menu / sorta party for xmas, so that should be nice. Gonna keep tidying up for a bit until it's time to get ready as coming home to a relatively clean space oughta be nice as well.

hell yes. it’s my rule: leave my house clean to come home to.

Finished a wheel rotation.. man that was a lot of weight lifting. Now the "seemingly worn" rear right tire is at left front. 🤷‍♂️

The (old) jack was okay. Didn't hear much noise/creaking.

and went shopping. Wasn't terrible. :dunno
 
I might go get groceries for tomorrow before Safeway closes. Maybe. Currently dishes are done, floors are vacuumed and steam cleaned, next up to put away from laundry and then deal with the latest cat puke on the carpet in the bedroom :bigbarf
 
Alright, things are cleaner-rer than they were and it feel nice. Now to finish this beer and get to Safeway for provisions for tomorrow.
 
sad for you , that you had to clean cat puke! (how dimensionlarge was it? ;') j/k (I had to clean something similar recently, like one of Aba'cs "mess" posts a couple of years ago)

I've got a rather large prime rib dry aging in the fridge. I'm debating whether to do the reverse sear method (which I much prefer, but does not give the appropriate amount of fat for Yorkshire pudding), or the standard method (which results in a lot of grey meat per pound of good). I do have some lard on hand from these pigs.
