yeah, surprisingly the seat is higher than the bars... like on my bike :) apparently that means a thing? :dunno

nice brakes! love the disks... I feel that;s better for everyday traffic AND MTB, which is what this seems to be made for.

It hurts my back just to look at it. :laughing
i reckon it will take some getting used to or a different stem if it hurts. i’ve been doing a lot of rowing which allegedly works abs which would explain why i am definitely more aware of mine these days.

this is meant to eat up road and hit the occasional gravel. i don’t like actual drop bars.

although I do not know much about the steel frame. Obvs it has cachay and a good Japanese names. People like those stuffs.

since mine is just a grocery sports store brand, I covered it with stickers (like some Skin on Skin sticker?!?!?) and wipe out whoever I can uphill or threaten them with downhill speed until they start squinting WTF is that bike.

I like downhill speed fun and cannot lie. But I guess there's a limit.

Seat to handle bar height / distance is the best way to get a bike to fit. You can make adjustments to ensure weight is distributed evenly between the seat and bars, adjust for longer or shorter torsos, personal preference, etc. Definitely something worth playing with to find the sweet spot.

I should get my ass to my garage and start doing repair stuff, feeling pretty lazy after this past week, but I'm also feeling like hearing the KTM roar again. Little more coffee and then it'll be garage beers and bikes time.

Your bar is way too low. It should be level with your seat. If you actually want to go lower, get drop bars and again, put the top of the bar at the level of the seat.

Ummmmmmm nooooo.

That's only for comfort bikes.

Here's a picture of a bike that I rode on the day of in the store, many years ago. These are basically road bikes but simply with straight bars.

The weirdest thing I saw today is a guy driving his soft top miata with the top down while it was raining pretty hard. Or at least medium. Wasn't a soft drizzle.

Depends. The way that bike is set up, it’s like you are always on the drops. I learned from the experts at Wheelsmith, back in 1974, to place the top of the bar at the level of the seat. That way you’ve got bars that are comfortable for riding around town and when you want to, you can change your hand position to the drops.

Of course, a straight bar doesn’t have that option. I would find being on the drops all the time to be very uncomfortable.
