Good morning, picking up meds at Costco then stepmom for a day of has that been paid. My sister will be here Monday, I swear she’s a gift.

A song just came on my Playlist on Spotify. Sent me down a mental gymnastics road I wasn't planning on.

It's a song from a DJ duo. One of them died from a long battle with cancer. When I went to this concert when I was living in Santa Barbara, it was just one. My father died from cancer.

I didn't have any friends available that night. Didn't care. It was important to me to be at this concert because cancer took my dad from me just the same as cancer took his partner from him.

My back has been bothering me as well, combo of working on motos a bunch and then sitting in a car seat for 8 hours for work. No need for the stool though I generally just sit on a bucket for the short amount of times I'm not on my knees working on the bikes. Only thing my garage needs is a bike lift, but there's no room for that.

In other news, after more than a month, we finally have a full sized fridge again.

Tomorrow is not possible between 3-6pm unless you are dropping by a bar/coffee 😆

Other times is fine

Where are you going to be dropping by in SF? Or of course other days meet/weeks…

Apparently, there's a mass migration out of SoCal today. Pic is from 5:45PM, Northbound at the 5 - 210 merge out of LA. Son said it's been almost 6 hours of "shit" just to get to this point. He's coming up from San Diego. He made it off the Grapevine, around Lebec, at about 7:25PM and said traffic was soooo "F'd". Told him to get a room for the night and finish the drive early in the morning.

Traffic is wild in the bay too. I guess everyone decided to drive given the air traffic uncertainty...

Luckily I'm getting paid to sit in traffic.

Lots of folks smoking Turkey tomorrow even though our "overlords" deem it a spare the air day.

My sister in law will still use her Traeger which compared to my old school bullet smoker puts out almost no smoke at all.

Smoke pours out of my bullet smoker when I use it.

I'm hoping for the same thing today as I'm driving down to Jefferson Street in Oakland to pick up my daughter and husband back from a recent trip. They went to see their favorite band (The Mars Volta) in Portland, then flew to see them again in Sacramento and then took the train to see them a third time last night in Oakland. They are nutty that way and even though we share a lot of musical tastes, The Mars Volta is not one of them.

Fingers crossed traffic is relatively OK 10am to 2pm today, (though I doubt it).

I frigging love the Mars Volta. I thought about going to that show, but alas I didn't.
