up fed and caffeinated. woke up at 4am to turn the little electric heater on and the stupid knob broke which immediately got me fully awak and in repair mode. Super glued it back together but it probably needs safety wire to keep it from breaking again. using pliers till then. Finally got back to sleep around 5:30a woke up at a quarter to nine.

well tried jumping the wires at the thermostat but no change, no heat. the error code at the furnace is 3 yellow blinks followed by 3 green which apparently is a flame roll over switch error. I can not find a manual reset switch so I guess I'm stuck till the tech gets here Tuesday afternoon.

yeah okay - well jumping the two wires merely provides "a signal" for the heat to turn on, it doesn't exactly provide power. However it seems you were missing power to the wall unit. Additionally the quoted error might be serious (or maybe not) ... so yeah, some pro gotta diagnose it in place
