Brother in law four months out of work from a cyber security job just found a new one in this economy.

30 percent more pay but not a work from home position as he had for 15 years before, but a 30 mile commute from Santa Rosa to Novato which isn't too bad especially considering a bicycle and the SMART train are an option for him.

My other BIL in Georgia has been out of work for 18 months or so.

I think the latter situation is more common sadly enough.

This is yesterday’s events.

I am safe in my job but still planning to become an enrolled agent so I can file tax returns for people. I feel like it will be a good semi retirement job, too, since I will have to work until the day I die.

I will likely be needing more tax preparers in the next few years. 100% remote. Although you'll probably be busy enough with your own book as soon as you start. See @Rtmac :teeth

Mangos so that you have to buy another box of them for Kattegat.

Haha, we’ve already gone through a few boxes of those since. She now has one above the fireplace which is her main chill spot and another in a bedroom window where she spends the morning watching birds and the neighbourhood cats.

And doesn’t hurt that mangos are delicious.

I've got coffee handy. Heading to the shop in a bit for the werks. Month end is near and I'm dreading confronting the reality of my expense profile yet again. If only I could do some insider trading to make ends meet.

Not a bad plan, you can do it from home or any location. Folks just email you their documents, $$$ Cha-Ching

Picked up a 7cf chest freezer yesterday. I still haven't put the garage back together after the house batteries and control panels took up valuable real estate, so I think today begins The Great Reorganization.

I either need to run some conduit to the east wall for an outlet, or move my workbench ever-so-slightly to the right so I can fit the freezer next to the batteries. Which would make my shelf and pegboard off-center with the workbench so I'd have to move them too.

Anyone interested in a Dewalt jobsite table saw with rolling stand? I don't use it enough to justify the space.
