Thanksgiving is soon to be upon us.
My favorite holiday and usually nothing to do.
Maybe this year will be different.
 
I used to really like tgiving.

As a young adult I really liked friendsgiving parties for orphans.

As an older adult... It's so much work, so expensive to cook the food I want to cook the way I want it cooked, and the cleaning... Before during and after...

Fuck that, we're ordering Chinese food
 
Iā€™m n charge this year. Honey baked ham for a turkey breast and ham along with sides. May be the last one at the big house.
 
Tides have been crazy with that kelvin wave or whatever. Hoping I don't regret skipping a Sierra run this week (my weekend) to work on a moto and ride a mountain bike. Buddy of mine said he can make the following week so I'm gonna hold out for company since we haven't ridden together once this year. Guess I'll make sure the heated vest works and I know where my warm layers are.

But for now coffee, public transportation *shudder* and I'll be pedaling the new mountain bike home after work.

Iā€™ll be installing the heated grips on the Univorn this week.
I signed up for Babes in the Dirt but think Iā€™ll bail and take a solo trip somewhere.
 
If you find yourself in the sierras next week I'll hopefully be strafing all the passes with a buddy of mine and staying somewhere yet to be determined. I will probably also take the KTM for a slightly longer shakedown ride Tuesday or Wednesday this week to ensure it is in fact fixed...
 
I miss riding :(

It seems like such a luxury expense for my to just ride for the sake of riding.

Need to sell the Connie but it's like committing to the fact that my long adventures are over for awhile.

And I hate people.

The nice thing about long solo rides is you don't really have to interact with people much unless you want to. I haven't done much of a road trip at all this year, one run to Sam Simeon this spring and that was it. Too bad redbull doesn't sponsor middle of the road riders who just wanna go ride fun adventures with interesting roads :laughing
