I'm getting really tired of taking care of this damn dog... It's not the fact that I'm responsible for this dog because I don't want a dog or any pet. It's the fact that the dog is untrained. I've said this before but I still live with it everyday. The dog is often a hurricane of chaos. I put a sign on the front door that tells anyone please do not ring the doorbell. Why? Because this dog goes nuts like there's a nuclear missile warning if she hears the door bell. And I have to tell anyone on the other side of the door this is going to be about 5 minutes and I'm sorry. I'm used to visiting friends of family and they have dogs that are so well mannered. BBQs, house parties, birthdays, holidays. Small dogs and big dogs. I hate that I have the thought sometimes that if I just left the front door unlocked and she ran out... oh dang... that sucks... oh well.
My brother should have never had this dog. I never understood why he did in the first place. He has no business being a dog owner. Hell, he really has no business being a father. I love my niece and nephew and it seemed when they were younger being a father helped clear some shit up for him and change his life. But then he just reverted back to the terrible person that he's always been. There's a reason why he's not even co-parenting. My niece and nephew live with their mother. And they are good kids learning from her. The only things I know that he's taught both of them are vulgar language and bad habits. It's hard to shield kids from the world but words like fuck and shit shouldn't be part of their vocabulary learned from a parent...
After dating my brother and having two kids with him, she started dating women. I 100% know this is not how sexuality works but I like to joke my brother was so terrible, he turned her off from men completely.
Some of what I've said I'm pretty sure I've said before but it's still a daily headache. Can't wait til this dog is not my problem anymore if it wasn't for that fact that my brother is still in fucking jail. But he deserves to keep rotting in jail. There's a lot of crimes I could forgive criminals for that may have been justified but not legal. Beating up a woman? No. I don't even understand. If your ex has a restraining against you, all you have to do is like... not be there.
I like to think if I were in jail for something (a lot less shameful than domestic violence), I know friends that would help pay bail money. My brother? nah. No one is bailing him out because he doesn't have any friends. It's a sad story but it's text book "you made your bed now lie in it" "You reap what you sow" etc etc...
