report back! what's the difference in the weight, ride height, steering geometry change?

Weight...never weighed. I can tell you the 600 RR fender is way lighter than a 954 RR fender.

Ride height...with the fork tubes flush with the upper triple, they are damn close to my 954 RR forks at ~8-10 mm above the upper triple.

Placing the 600 RR upper triple on while the 954 RR lower was still installed, they look the same to me. Both are different than a the stockers of course.

Report to follow.

Finally got around to get my little bike painted and prettied up, so now I can post pics without feeling like I don't take care of my bikes :blush

What a sexy little thing!!

Eddie-

Bike handles well. I found that by raising the forks to the first mark (5mm), the bike turns well. Before I did that, the bike had a hard fall in feeling through the slower corners (like t11 at Infineon). Now it is consistantly solid through that corner and doesn't feel like it's gonna fall on it's side.

The brakes are AMAZING! No arm pump from pulling the brake lever. One finger is all you need!

John,

Time for another project. Why not add this to your stable to keep your RGV company?

I wish I could Scotty, I wish I could. My landscaping project is taking up a lot of my spare time. Like you, gotta baby on the way too. Wife would chop my nads.

No luck selling, huh? What kind of low ball offers did you get? I do like that bike.

The other red one is sold. That was a full SP2 model. This bike is a standard model with SP bits.

Wouldn't this make perfect yard art? You could place it next to the jar with your nads.

Nice! Is that an aftermarket upper and lower fairing? Who makes it and who painted it for you?

You can get the seat lock o-ring from Honda still. I have to order another one, mine fell out too.

I noticed how it went up for sale about the same time I heard your wife burried your jar! strange coincidence no?

Bandit 400 Anyone??

'92 Suzuki GSF 400 Bandit anyone? Was set up as an AFM enduro bike awhile back, blew at THill, had bottom end rebuilt and the bike has only @2400k miles, most which are street. All street nick-knacks included (even have airbox covers in mint condition- someone offered me $100 for those last year and I passed :cry); needs engine sealed and put in. I'll post lots more if ya'll are interested. Totally rolls, all parts clean- not stored outside ;)

b/o, trades, etc.

Also have an ex-VJB '94 Honda RS125 for sale in excellent running condition with TONS of spares including these "big ticket" items: barrel, chamber, heads, rear Technomag, Racetech caps, adj. rearsets, tons of stock cranks, pistons, rings, gearing, gaskets, etc.

I LIKE the red Suzuki "pee-wee"!!

The 125s make great "art", too! When I lived in West O, I kept 3 of them in my "livingroom" ;)

(but then again, I don't have nads!! :teeth )

heh, it used to look like this:

Wasn't too bad overall, considering when I pulled it out of the container in CA I was able to fill up the fluids and take it for a ride. But notice how sad it looks in the rain and that patch of snow in the background, things are much better now that it is in sunny Cali and ridden year round!!!

The upper was an aftermarket fiberglass piece, no clue who made it, as it came with the bike, previous owner wasn't sure either.

For the paint, I got a decal kit from these guys:
linky
Great quality vinyl decals, not necessarily the cheapest, but 1-stop shopping as the kits come with everything and great customer support.

And then got it painted by Joe in Monterey linky. Wasn't the most convenient location-wise, but the turnaround was a lot quicker than if I had gone to CycleFinish (which is a couple miles from my house).

Good catch for the seat lock rubber thingy, I didn't even know there was supposed to be one!
