Post your best pussycat photos here! (FELINES ONLY!)

In the photo with 3 of our cats the one on the right "Yoshi" is 17 and diabetic
Yes, cats can go into remission but also come out and it has happened twice to him

He is on prescription diabetic food and gets a very small amount of insulin 1x daily to keep him within the normal range.

Our vet has us do periodic glucose curves (at home) and fructosamine blood test

Based on what @berth wrote I think we are going to resume testing at least 2x a week with the glucose meter.

I caught Yoshi at Helimot - yes that Helimot when he was still on Old Bayshore Hwy. For those of you that remember the place there used to be a triangle shaped part of land with trees and weeds on the left side of the building. Anyways, driving by I would see a cat standing upright among the weeds looking for food from the people eating from the catering truck that was parked there.

It took me a month to finally catch him because he would go under the gate and just sit there and look at me as I put food down for him and I would wait in my truck.

He is just a wonderful boy - my lap cat and sometimes he lays in my arm as if I were cradling a baby

Thank you for putting forth the effort to save Yoshi. Of course he is a wonderful love bug; Cats know.

Kato is a bit of a drooler when i am laying on the couch and I'm petting him as he stands on my chest.

Not terrible, but a drip or two as he demands I use both hands to pet him.

Welcome to Thump,s welcome house of failed feral cats. Princess Dart, Theadore, and Tom. Ted, fluffy white guy is in his late 20s Tom, the orange cat is in his late teens.
Late 20s???

We've had 15 and the oldest made it to 19.

What diet is he on to reach that age?

Thank you for your kind words. Honsom died more than 2 years ago at 20 years old and I said I would not have another cat. I then was doing the cat box at my MIL's house when I said to my wife, "I miss this". One month later the Wrestling Monkey Brothers of Digby and Buster came into our life and bought the joy back. It's good to have cat boxes to do again.

Getting a pair of brothers is non stop entertainment in the first year or so.

They both have necks like linebackers as a result closing in on two years old here for Kato and Loki.

11 year old Khaleesi has learned to tolerate them though she far prefers smaller Loki to bigger Kato.

Introducing new felines to existing ones can certainly be a challenge

My first office cat "DC" would never accept (hated) any new comers (kitten or adult) - period, which is why I ended up taking the others home.

Gray kitties are so great! I had an Alameda Grey cat for 22 years Chat Chat was the best!
