Post your best pussycat photos here! (FELINES ONLY!)

Our current cats simply won't tolerate collars. They just weasel their way out of them in less than an hour. We have a single photo of Gracie with here color, when we she was very young.

It's Orange 'Ginger' Cat Appreciation Day!

And who doesn't appreciate their orange cat on the kitchen table.

"I'm on the placemat, not that table. Your rules, not mine."

Coincidentally, it's also Two Fer Tummy Rub Tuesday

Twice the tummy rubs, twice the fun.

Finally, yesterday was Georgies 6th Forever Home anniversary.

He lived his first 2 years in the shelter. The staff said he was "timid".

He was not timid, he was scared to death and reacted with fear aggression. First couple of days with him were pretty hard. In fact, I think on the third day, if we could have got our hands on him, we would have taken him back. I was already on antibiotics for cat bite by that point.

But we didn't, he stayed. He was in his room for almost 2 months. My wife would go in, and stay with him, work with him. We got one of those fake hands to get him accustomed to it. But the real winner was a peacock feather. Brushing him with that worked wonders.

He's a beautiful creature, one of the happiest cats I know. He still does not get along with Gracie. We still have gates up, keeping them apart.

It's just the way of it.

But, we love him dearly, and you can see he's settled in.

Happy Home Anniversary and Orange Cat Appreciation Day!

12 days in a kennel of confusion and wondering why she was abandoned

That was my first thought! Poor baby!
There was a webcam so I could check in at any time and could see that they took pretty good care of her. She seemed to have taken a liking to one of the girls, walking around her with her tail up.
I left my blanket and she did spend a lot of time burrowing underneath it to hide or simply sleep. Which is what she does at home also.
