I know that kitty!
Thanks Alan
She's progressing nicely! She's been on diet food since I've had her, and I've been ignoring all the begging noises coming from her.

She's definitely lost some weight, she can actually jump up on the bed and the couch now without doing the cliffhanger (where she slams her belly into the side of the bed/couch and proceeds to clawpull her way up with her front legs). Got her playing a lot, making her (and me) run around the kitchen chasing a faux bird on a string.
She's a very sweet cat. Pretty much wants to cuddle all the time which can be unpleasant when you get like a 30-pound cat with sharp claws jumping onto your chest while you're sleeping. I've set aside a dedicated cat bed for her on my king-size, but as soon as I'm asleep she's sneaking onto my pillow. I get the face-full-of-fur surprise when I turn over in my sleep. And she's got a bad habit of waking me up at 6 in the morning, first by meowing, and if that doesn't work she starts with the wet-nose kisses, and if that doesn't work she starts poking/slapping me in the face with her paw.
BTW. I don't know what happened to her eyesight. But she seems to be back to normal now. When I first got her she was doing the Stevie Wonder as she tried to look at things/people. But she doesn't do that anymore. I'm not sure if it's just because she's gotten used to her environment, but she doesn't act like a visually-impaired cat. She has no problems seeing me from across the house. She has no problems chasing and jumping after the bird toy I got her. She sees her food just fine (although she's a very sloppy eater). She doesn't run into things anymore. You can see in the pictures she looks right at you. She does have staring issues though, I'll catch her just staring at me sometimes, it's a little spooky, especially when you're just waking up and you've got a pair of cat eyes a foot from your face just staring...
Still getting used to the cat hair, I've got cat hair everywhere! I'm going through like one lint-roller a week. But yea, she's a keeper for sure!
