Jenn, these are usually referd to as night cries. Its very common with older cats. Burton who is now 16 as of Oct. (my ex wife rescued him out of a lower haight crack house when he was around 6 to 8 weeks old) started doing this 3 years ago. His whole name is Burton Elvis Russel Burroughs, and he has had liver issues for the past 4 years but he doesn't show any symptoms, just weight weight loss. With pics like these its no wonder he has liver issues

I was thinking the same thing.

A friend of mine had two named Yin and Yang. Yang has passed, but here they were in the good old days:

To date, they're all still lying around on the couch... :mad

Ginger on MY pillow. She's got her own pillow, own bed for that matter, but nooooo... she's gotta use my bed, my pillow...

I totally forgot to post any here what with all the placement drama

Mitch!!!
I sent David a message hoping to hear back soon.

Well - in my experience - in homes where cats have been partial to sinks you will discover that the sink vanity has a heating duct underneath - and it keeps the whole sink top toasty warm. At least that's how they do it in the few homes where I know of this phenomenon.

My cats will snuggle on top of the washing machine if I run a hot/soak (like for dye removal).

Mine hit the bathroom sinks when it's hot. That room is the coolest spot in the place and the porcelain sinks are nice and chilly. The new place has two so they don't have to fight over them. :)

More recent pics of the brats. 1. Sophie (mom) 2. Sophie in her "boudoir" pose 3. Joshie (daughter) looking for trouble 4. Otto (formerly Frankie) the deaf kitty my friend rescued via a BARF thread

Yep - my cat Dobs plays in the bathtub when it's hot - the bathtub is porcelain over steel and stays nice and cool to the touch. He just jumps in and rolls around and around.

Bzworthy - great pix!

Thanks! Sophie has always been easy to photo, but Joshie hates it. Hard to get her to be still

Yay! Good to see Frankie Sinatra made it to a good home! Thanks! :thumbup

:teeth
He's a happy boy. Put on some weight and his fur is super thick and soft. He loves to play chase but spends most of his time sleeping on his dad, or me when I am kitty sitting. Total cuddlebug :love

Yeah, I think that's it. As you can see from the pics, my cat has other options when he's looking for heat (no, the stove isn't lit in the pic...actually, we thought we might have trouble with him jumping on it when it's truly hot, but he's actually not that stupid--who'd a thunk it? (he does lay behind the stove when it's lit, and I've seen him actually resting his head on the heat shield, directly below the stove bottom...roasting what few brain cells he has...).

His bike's a bit older, but he keeps up:
