Well - in my experience - in homes where cats have been partial to sinks you will discover that the sink vanity has a heating duct underneath - and it keeps the whole sink top toasty warm. At least that's how they do it in the few homes where I know of this phenomenon.
My cats will snuggle on top of the washing machine if I run a hot/soak (like for dye removal).
Yep - my cat Dobs plays in the bathtub when it's hot - the bathtub is porcelain over steel and stays nice and cool to the touch. He just jumps in and rolls around and around.
Bzworthy - great pix!

Yay! Good to see Frankie Sinatra made it to a good home! Thanks!![]()

Yeah, I think that's it. As you can see from the pics, my cat has other options when he's looking for heat (no, the stove isn't lit in the pic...actually, we thought we might have trouble with him jumping on it when it's truly hot, but he's actually not that stupid--who'd a thunk it? (he does lay behind the stove when it's lit, and I've seen him actually resting his head on the heat shield, directly below the stove bottom...roasting what few brain cells he has...).Mine hit the bathroom sinks when it's hot. That room is the coolest spot in the place and the porcelain sinks are nice and chilly.
