Those are such great/smart dogs. I've worked with them on a cattle ranch and they did all the work :thumbup

Picking a breed depends a lot on you. Do you have a house with a big yard? Do you plan on taking it out a lot?

Whatever you decide plz look for a dog to rescue, they have all breeds of all ages.

This is my Lab Roxanne, she's great with people, dogs, kids, and even katz. She's happy to play or sleep all day. I got her from a friend when she was 8 weeks old and I could hold her with one hand. She's 80+lbs now...

there are a lot of rescue groups out there. You can find any breed of dog. I got my girl as a rehomed dog when she was 3.

Chopper is a pit bull / black lab mix. He's super cool.

I love cattle dogs. I just wish my girl liked to play. She has no interest in balls or a frisbee.

Go to a local shelter, get to know and play with some of the dogs there, and bring home the one you like! The biggest non common sense thing you need to know about dogs is the pure breeds are more likely to have genetic related diseases. Other then that, common sense kicks in. Dogs with lots of fur will shed and be hot, dogs with short fur will be cold in the winter, large dogs will try to kick you out of bed and take up all of your lap, small dogs won't.

Pitbulls are evil though!

Little known basset hound fact...

They love socks.

Pitties really hate cones. First time Corinne wore a cone she was frozen solid, she was so terrified that she couldn't move anywhere. She would just stand there, not even lay down!
