My first track bike, 2004 SV650...

great looking bike

I sold the silver sv650 in my sig and got a VFR for touring but soon realized I had made a big mistake. I really missed my SV so I dumped the VFR and an old T500 I had and picked up a 2007 SVS. In the meantime I had to leave the Bay Area and live in DETROIT for 2 years, but that's another story.
Here it is with less than 400 miles.........

this one is with the old blinkers I had on...

oops and the flush mount signals on the front fairing ?

Finally, my bike is all one color!!!! :laughing

hey hellfyre might seem like an odd question but where did you get that long rear brake line? On my sv I am having a problem with it being to short, because I put on some vortex rear sets.

00 SV650
01 GSX-R750 Front End
Brembo Braking system, MC, Calipers, Yoyodyne relocator plates.
Penske 2 Way Shock
Vapor Gauges
Custom Fairing Stay/GSX-R Upper
CFM Rearsets
Chopped subframe

Pretty sure that's it...

I know, i'm poor. :laughing

would there be more of less people interested in the sv if it came with full fairing? or would you think that there would be a market enought to have both naked and full?

Part of what I like about the SV650S is the half fairing. I like to see the motor and some of the guts, but not go completely naked. I loved the look of my VF500F too.

Cheers

I finally got some decent pics of my bike this past weekend to post in this thread. Bought the bike brandy-new November last year:

new SV

Heres my new garage stuffer.
Truly immaculate 2005 SV with a 2006 GSX-R front end.
This is my first time riding an SV although i worked on several when i was with BRG. This is such a fun little bike. I'm looking forward to a track day to really put it to the test.
I'm considering an Ohlins shock to balance the suspension action as it currently has a stock shock.

The previous owner said it has an FMF full system but i see no reference to FMF offering more than an endcan for this model. Does anyone recognise this system?

Wow riding with a gixxer front and a stock rear shock? that must feel really funny. I would go with penske, way better!

Here is my almost completed SV Street Fighter. Painting it this week ...

Goals were to 1) upgrade the budget bits 2) transform the look from bargain commuter into something aggressive and original and 3) generally to make it handle like an pricy exotic Eye-talian.

Hope some of you dig it …

How does the rear shock reservoir do mounted there? Does it pick up too much grunk from the road?

Cheers

Lou
