So my Stoptech big brake kit on my STI is a combination of factory color black, some sharpie, some other black etc. When the po had the car, the bbk started chipping or fading so he kept touching it up with sharpie.

Fast forward, I know own the car and would like to refinish the calipers. I want something more durable then a caliper paint kit from autozone. Im familiar with powdercoat but was told it wont stand up to high heat and will chip off. Car will see a few trackdays a year but mostly a dd.

So do I paint with high temp paint to have it chip over time or is powder coat going to flake off after time too due to heat? Damned if I do, damned if I dont?

if you're worried about the powder chipping off get them ceramic coated.
