Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

PS3 is the best driving console because it is the only console with Gran Turismo.
And don't believe anything to the contrary.
 
Gran Turismo is probably the best driving simulator that I've ever played ever. (I have for PS3)
 
The Wii is probably the least desirable of the 3 main consoles for driving and shooting games unless you're talking about Mario Kart.

Sorry, for being a gamer for many years, and working in the game industry....For shooters and drivers, I have to say ps3. The graphics are better, sensitivity of controls are usually better....

I remember having a ps2 with Tourist Trophy (motorcycle sim from makers of Gran Tourismo) and the graphics were just as good, if not better, than my brother's xbox 360 with Moto GP in Hi Def.

If you wanna play online and have 12 year olds calling you a faggot and telling you all sorts of colorful demeaning shit they're going to do to your mom, Xbox is the way to go.

I've had both Xbox and PS3. I prefer the PS3. Xbox has Forza for driving and stuff, but I think Gran Turismo is better.

Also PS3 has the Uncharted series of games which are fucking awesome.
 
Just be sure to get the Logitech G25 or G27 steering wheels, they are simply the best! and the wheelstand is great too! GT5 absolutely ROCKS!!!! Go HD Optoma Projector!

+1 on the Gran Turismo plus I'd add another "ever" and maybe one more for good measure.

MW3 is great too if you want to shoot people n blow stuff up.

I won't talk about Skyrim because I'm barely over my Oblivion addiction and just can't go there.

I think I got taken at Gamestop. $220 for a used 120gb and I think it's an older unit.

There was a "corrupted file" mssg when I first turned it on but it seems to work ok now, I couldn't hook it up using the HDMI cable and the "wireless controller" is not in fact wireless.

I also can't tell if it's has wifi.

Gonna take it back and get one off craig's. If I'm not storing games does it really matter how many gb's I get? Should I get the slimmer one? And it there a model or date code I should look for?

Loving MotoGP BTW :D

(oh, and WTF is "backwards compatible"?)
 
Just pull the plug from the controller. It's wireless.

All PS3s have WiFi.

Google search "PS3 HDMI not working." I had the same issue and it had to do with starting the console before the TV or vice versa. It's a common and easily fixed issue.

It does matter how many GB of storage you get. I had an original PS3 with like 30GB of storage and after owning 5 games with stored data, it would not hold any more. It crapped out on me after 5 years and I bought a new slim PS3 with 320GB of storage.

Forza is far superior to gt5 at this point. Turismo is a glitchy mess.
