PSA Distracted Driving month in April heavy enforcement

Is there a "distracted driving" law now? I know about the cell phone one.

Just curious...if not, what basis for citation?
 
If you have a photo of someone driving while using their cell phone, that clearly shows them, and their car and their license plate, would this be enough for the police to charge them with driving while using a cell phone?

You have a sign that says, "Slower Traffic Move to Right". The traffic to the right is moving slower than you. You have a sign that says, "Max Speed Limit 65". You are going 65. Which sign do you obey? You are not slower traffic, except to those who want to break the law. Apparently, some don't understand the basic legal premise that you cannot be forced to commit a crime. Again, my contention is that you would not be convicted, if you don't move over.

The two aren't really contradictory. Even if you are driving 65mph (speed limit), you ARE still slower traffic if people in the left lane are going faster than that.

From just a practical standpoint, if you stubbornly stick to that 65mph in the fast lane, YOU are creating danger.

You could "obey" both of these laws by going 65mph in the slower lanes.
 
glad this is in action!

Even with a handfree device, i find myself distracted - "What? what did you say? what???? how much are the tickets if i bought 3 of them with tax? uhhhhhhhh..."

so even with hands free, i find myself not using them.

See too many folks blatantly use their fones and swerving all over teh place.
 
I saw a guy getting a blow job on 280 the other day..... while getting said blow job, he was in the number one lane at 60 miles per hour....

Wish I was on duty for that.....

If you're going to get a blow job, do it in the slow lane.... dumbass.

The sign said speed LIMIT!!!! I was well within my rights!!!:x

(This is totally one of those proud tickets you frame; like a bicycle speeding ticket.)
