I just find it hilarious that although the story she has presented to you all is so chock full of glaring inconsistencies and makes very little sense everyone jumped on this lynch mob.

I'm sure that from what has been posted here and what I heard from Chris the truth lies in there somewhere. I told him that if I was him I would have just gotten back whatever money I had paid in to the deal and given the bike back just to not have to deal with someone who appears from my point of view to be unstable.

I agree that the lynch mob attitude is dumb and won't get anything accomplished, and Chris doesn't owe any of us an explanation. But the guy still has a bike that isn't his, didn't live up to his end of the bargain, and refuses to give the bike back. Right?

How many of you guys read this in his voice?...

jealousy is an ugly thing:teeth

Jealousy? I have none. I ride GS500 and perfectly comfortable with it. If I want to ride a Duc, I can borrow my friends Monster. I don't have lust for bikes. And I don't wear loafers. :twofinger

If she's "unstable", that's his goddamn fault for not paying for the bike upfront. I don't think she turned down his 7k.

yep, like I said, to me this has the smell of some friendship gone awry and I think everyone should just give each other their stuff back and go their own merry way.

That would be the simplest solution! Even if the bike is worth $2000 less than when this started I think if I was Dani I would do that just to be done with it. If I was the seller I would prefer to get the money in full and never ever see the bike again but if there is no money to pay for it well that option won't work.

Mark can't answer for Chris, so lets keep it kool with the questions. Mark isn't the bad guy. Even tho he's a complete dick himself <3

That's about as far away from what he told me as you can get.

First stable thing you've said.
Look guy bought a bike and I gave him a great deal.
He couldn't pay. I want it back. I'll give him back his $600 if the bike is CHP report pristine as stated AND a mechanic verifies the integrity of the gas, etc.
Life goes on.
MUST be unstable .......no normal person would be that civil to get this over with.

An unstable person would just ignore that offer indefinitely until a normal person said, wtf and did something about it. Enough's enough.

On this we agree. Horsepower has said she'll take the bike back, and won't pursue any legal action if she gets the bike back in one piece.

So he's had the bike on loan for the last couple of months, all he has to do to make this all go away is pay for the bike he's "borrowed" or give it back. Honestly, if he gives it back, sounds like he got the good deal here, a free bike to flog on the track for 3 months.

Edit: There you go, straight from the horse's mouth. ;)

The thing that makes me laugh about all of this is I honestly believed Chris was smarter than this. :laughing

Is that what he said he was going to do? Or is that just what the OP is telling us? Find out next time on the Days Of Our Lives :3

Ah I deleted it because I decided I don't have enough facts to know what all discussions/agreements took place.

Dani had posted up earlier a snapshot of a message from Chris that he would pay for the bike in full by December 25th.

:wave OP is my friend. If she says that's what happened, I'd wager that's what happened.

If this thing ever turns into a made for tv movie can the part of Chris Dove be played by Steve Buscemi :thumbup. He’s one of my actors and I would love to hear his explanation for how $300 is a fair price for a near new R6.
Horsepower who would you like to play your part? Don’t say Snooki :thumbdown.

She also said he stole the bike from her as soon as she turned her back, but then gladly gave him the title for it later so he could get into some trackday. Does that make any sense to you?

Its well assumed that you know more than the rest about this story... So why don't you fill everyone in?

I think HP is being amazingly generous and can't understand any reason Dove wouldn't jump at the chance of simply giving it back.

If I got it all right, he took it August 25th. Has been riding it all over, doing trackdays with it, riding the shit out of it. All he has to do is bring it back AND he'll get back the $600 she has from him. So that is a free bike for five months... for free. Even though she is taking a heavily used bike back, after five months, with zero compensation in return.

Why the hell hasn't he given it back yet???

She gave him a voided title so that he could prove that it wasn't stolen for riding at Miller. But people not reading the thread, what else is new...

No it doesn't make sense because I'm not as trusting as Dani nor naive.

I've been duped out of $4000 dollars by someone that said they would pay for a car that I signed over to them.

So yes that was a very poor choice on her part but I don't think she loaned him the title for racing with gladness.

It should still be there.
