I usually just roll traditional New York style: a Nathans or Sabrett dog, toasted bun, spicy brown mustard, bunch of sauerkraut, some raw diced onion.
But this thread reminded me of how much I miss that NY hotdog barbecue onion saute...
If you've never had this on a hot dog...
