Dude still doesn't get it, does he?

Yeah, we should all vote for the teabag dipshits, they'll get in there and fix this big mess! Finally someone will put a stop to all of this spending that just started when Obama started the wars and ran the economy into the shitter!!

Anyone that thinks that "someone" can waltz in to Washington and get things done is a fool. Many fools got caught up in this last election. Oh, there was, and always will be, what sounds like a promise to get in there and shake it up, but we all know that our gov. is like holding a foot race through knee deep mud. Nothing is going anywhere fast, and many of the racers are happy just to stand there at the starting line, moving their arms like their sprinting down the track.

No one will really make a difference, it's not possible.

:x

Danm he's a good speaker. He talked in a big circle, avoided actually addressing the womans queation and still sounded good doing it. He did'nt even point his finger at Bush that time (one of his favorite tactics when he is called out on pretty much anything).

Folks don't realize that a huge part of the increased spending under Obama is the fact that he put 2 wars ON THE BOOKS. Bush kept them OFF THE BOOKS. Bush used supplemental spending so that it looked like his budget was under control.

Do you remember how Bush, when he RARELY had public events like this, would ensure the questions were pre-screened and only supporters attended?

Guess not.

As for blaming Bush...you DO realize that we were in recession for a YEAR before Obama ever took office, right? And you do know that economists agree we're in recovery, slowly but surely...right?

It's unreal how short and partisan some people's memories are.

Which public events are you talking about and how do you know they were prescreened? Who are these economists of which you speak and how does this apply to whats been said here?

So now I'm partisan with a short memory? The economy is just one example of his Bush finger pointing(and republican finger pointing in general). I suppose that anyone that disagrees with the great Obama must be an evil neo-con? I'm just pointing out what I see and in no way defending Bush. Please understand that partisanship has nothing to do with my opinions. I would like to encourage you to think a little more independently and to not be sucked into our presidents us vs. them attitude.

I voted for the innefectual bastid and I'm pretty let down that he had everything going for him coming in to the presidency and has done NOTHING at all since. During the primaries though I REALLY wanted Hillary to be president.

Now there's a woman with REAL BALLS:laughing Too bad we never got the chance to see.

Pot/kettle? Even many on the left are disappointed with many of Obama's failures. I agree there is so much a President can do, and I actually think Obama has done a credible job. Based on your post, you shouldn't be calling anyone partisan.

How do you figure? My expectations were that recovery from the utter chasm we were in would take a while, certainly more than half a term. That some significant legislation (albeit compromised) like healthcare and banking have passed despite consistent obstructionism (and that asshole Liberman) is an achievement in itself. To criticize a nascent recovery from a crisis in place a year BEFORE he took office is partisan. To call it such is pretty objective if you ask me.

If I claimed Obama was a rampant success, THEN I would agree I was swinging too far the other way.

The question was "Is this my new reality?"
He didn't answer that question specifically, but I think he addressed all the points she made.

You're right that he didn't directly address the question, but I think that he did answer it indirectly. "Things are tough now, but they'll get better."
