Radial Calipers alignment

Yes, locked up front wheel on the freeway at about 25mph.
Didn't think about that.
Never contacted anything

Clear as mud.

The bike stayed up or went down? Easier for us to help if you can clarify bike history.

Bike went down but did not hit anything
Scuff / scrapes on axle nut and on frame siders.
Front Axle
Bar end
front frame slider
Back frame slider
Exhaust

I did it 1 year ago.
The forks did not touch.
Twisted tripples?

I did loosen the tripples and slid the forks down about 1/2" because I ordered the wrong tire 120/60 vs 120/70

Bent Axle?

Bent Axle?

the calipers didnt rub the rotors before removing the front wheel and you arent missing any parts. even if the axle is bent, it wasn't a huge issue before (other than a possible chance of uneven brake pad wear, which could also be attributed to a misalignment from any number of other issues). so, the simplest and most obvious answer here... you are putting it back together incorrectly.

heres a short vid on front-end alignment from Dave Moss

So someone machined up some spacers and changed things around after removing a front wheel? And someone else takes a front wheel off and it doesn't fit right any more?

What 's wrong with this picture?

Wrong rim
110mm Axial brakes
115mm Radial brakes
I have Radial brakes and Axial rim
Been that way since day 1.
Spacers on order from AF1.

This is exactly right.
First time I had the front wheel off and the pads were worn weird. Bought new pads the same time I got new tire and figured I had a stuck piston.
Cleared / cleaned the pistons and put everything together
What is the right way to do it?
Tighten pinch bolts on nut side of axle
Tighten axle nut
Bounce front end
Tighten other side pinch bolts.

I thought you're supposed to tighten the axle nut first before you tighten the pinch bolts on both fork legs? That way, you're sure that the spacers are seated properly.

I'm going through this right now. As OP said, radial and axial wheels / forks / brakes are different widths.

Here's the scoop:

Radial set up wheels hubs are 115 mm wide at the rotor mount point. Non radial wheels are 110 mm.

If you are trying to put a radial wheel on a non radial fork (like me) you need to have 2.5 mm machined off the hub at the mounting face for the rotors on each side.

If you're trying to put non-radial wheels on radial forks you need to do the opposite. AF1 sells the spacers you need.

Spacers just came in.
Installing tomorrow morning with new pads
And hoping everything is correct.

Installed the spacers and dry fitted everything.
Perfect alignment now. Rotor is centered between the calipers.
Now remove, clean, locktite, torque and ride.
