rain and wind = pretty scary ride

My first ride in heavy rain and sleet was a year ago in the biggest storm we had. I had just purchased my VFR and was riding it home to Fremont from Tracy. Pouring rain that turned to sleet and windy as hell but compared to my old Ninja 650 the VFR was a dream in that weather.

Now the only thing that bothers me is the large DOT's they put on some streets mainly in the intersections for the left hand turns. Hitting those when wet is not fun and ranks up there with rail road tracks at an angle for me.

I rode home today in the rain, more like mist on wet roads, and I have to say that the entire ride over 17, I was thinking..... was the air pressure in my tires correct?? :dunno

Something I should check more often.....
I bet. :laughing

Everyone should know that drizzle or misty and wet roads are worse than a nice steady rain. The oils seep up from the asphalt and make things very interesting. Better to have the rain rinse the oil away.

The worst thing about serious rain is visibility. We need wipers on our visors, dang it. :x
