Rain riders: What helmet do you prefer?

I like rain in my face so I dirtbike helmet plus goggles :D

If your visor is leaking, it's probably due to the visor itself not being lined up with the shell.

Loosen them adjuster screws play with the seal a bit.

I was going to say this as well, but looked up OP helmet model and I don't know if cracking / adjusting the visor is possible?

Definitely one of the first things you should check if you are getting water inside your helmet is to make sure you are getting a nice seal all the way around. The adjuster screws can work loose and results in whistling sounds at speed as well as letting water in.

Not sure I will spend a lot of time trying to make it seal......looks like an excuse for a new helmet :teeth

I did some research because of this and saw comments from EXO900 owners at the end of a review on Webbike World that pretty much told the story......

One complaint for me on the EXO900 is the face shield leaks terribly! We were on a 5 day journey and it rained every day. Leaking from the top made it very difficult to see.

I could not find the review for the newer 900X. I was quite happy with them, just got tired of the leak. Didn't get to ride in the winter last year because I was still recovering.

I checked reviews on other helmets I desire and found that the new Scorpion EXO950AT received passing grade for water entry. That and I wanted a new helmet anyway.......I can save the 900X for summer commute use.

For all of the +569 for Pinlock........I had a helmet with pinlock before and agree that they work as claimed. I had problems with "crazing" of the face shield along the edges of the pinlock for some reason. The replacements were not cheap either! I actually like the Scorpion anti fog system. It works if one takes care of it as recommended.

At this point my new bucket is en route from Revzilla :thumbup

For now, I will try the silicon grease on the seal and tweak the screws to see if it makes a difference. Thanks all :twofinger

Shark Speed V2 ordered directly from EU. Saved money and it is one of the best street helmets I have ever owned. Comes with pin-lock so fog and rain are not an issue.

This is probably the MOST water proof you can get....
