I was looking for a winter project so I decided to paint some fairings. I knew I would make a lot of mistakes so I used this as a learning project for the next paint job. This is with almost no prep, no wet sanding, and Dulpicolor rattle cans painted in my back yard on a stick. Although it came out ok, I should have carefully read what many other BARFer's have posted as their experience and knowledge is extremely valuable. SEARCH is your friend... (Reckon) and many others.

Why? It looks great from the photos you posted, so what is it that we're not seeing?

When you get closer than those images, you can see where I should have filled in spots, sanded, and where I over sprayed. I also had to redo the entire tail section as I did not know about curing times and not to paint when its cold...Good enough for the track though:thumbup

Yeah..nice design.

You have a lot more patience to mask than I would have. :thumbup

ooo, nice design!

i got impatient with mine...and did a half ass job with the designing :twofinger

it'll be better next winter!:D

Very nice!! I am doing a rattle can job this winter as well on my track bike. i can only wish it looks that clean.

hahah what spare time will make us do ....But it looks pretty cool and the design looks good

dude... whatever. that's easily the sickest rattle can job i've ever seen. i'm sure that if i got super close i could find some flaws, but seriously, that's insane. great job, man.
