heres the case, i have an 04' yzf600r and there are no mounting points for spools. so therefore, i can't use a rear stand that requires spools. a guy told me about a stand that uses rubber mounts to pick the bike up...

i tried looking online but came across nothing :nerd could you guys help me out with this because i hate working on my bike without a stand

Pittbull sells stands w/either the spool-type attachement or ones that fit under the swingarm.

Pitbull like the other poster said. The combo stand has the spool type and L shaped swing arm. So it will fit most situations unless the bike has a single sided swing arm that uses a different stand alltogether.

Handy industries.Front and rear for 100 bucks.I've been using mine for three years with no problems.

TRex also, though I like the pitbull a little better, Trex is cheaper. And I didnt really have great experiences with the under swing arm stands. Pitbull sells a pair of threaded tabs to mount spools for <$20, weld a pair on.

Bought one in Cycle Gear in Redwood city on Sat. $89. They had 2 or 3 different types of stands that did not use spools.

A quick bit of advice: if you have a dirty bike, or just a bike that isn't meticulously cleaned, you might want to clean the underside of your swingarm with some Simple Green before using a non-spooled stand. And be careful because the rubber pads can easily move on you if you let it sit for a while or bump the bike around while working on it. Not saying it's a big deal, but it's something to be aware of. With spools you really have to mess up to get the bike to fall off the stand, but without spools sh*t can happen if you're not careful.

i picked up a CIS one that works both ways. if you wanna try it out, they have them at eastbay motorsports. Thats closer than coming to my house :p

the types of swingarms stands are either "standard" or "spooled". Most brands will have both models, or adapters.
