Reasons not to go to Somalia

If you're white you need to hire guards at $1000/day to keep you from being abducted. I've read a few stories about people who traveled to Somalia as tourists and it doesn't seem like a very welcoming place.
 
been there and ethiopia in 2006, actually has some interesting stuff to see, berbera was super cool. never felt unsafe but definitely could see it going the wrong way, not sure how things are now though
 
When I was in Kenya there was a standing rule to shoot somolians on sight. Even 4th world countries have limits to what kind of shit they'll put up with.

Currently most people consider Mogadishu to be the most dangerous place on the planet. That or eastern Congo.

I am interested in getting to somalialand, the secret country that the un won't recognize but that totally runs itself and claims itself to be its out autonomous state.
