I remember that mud day very well, and picking up the bike alot. Wasn't sure I was going to make it out of there haha. That KLR used to rip, I thought it handled very well in dry conditions.

I had posted on Reddit the other day, just a pic of my bike along Davis Creek Resvr (https://www.reddit.com/r/advrider/comments/sslkuj/couldnt_have_asked_for_a_better_day_to_be_out/) and someone pointed me to this post, and there I went down the rabbit hole! I'd love to join you guys one of these days and especially if it's a weekend overnighter.

the two ADV-type weekend overnighters I'm doing for sure is the upcoming StonyBARF (4/28-5/1) and the 5/20 Sheetiron camp-out at the Stonyford Rodeo grounds.

we're talking about getting permits to do an overnight at Clear Creek in March to try to catch some wildflowers, and I'll post up a thread here, I guess, if I get my act together around that, asap.

I've sent my money in for the '22 ADV n00bs rally (3/24-3/27), and the Shasta ADV Campout and rides (May 13-15), but guess they're a bit more involved, weekend wise, but they're sort of examples of yearly ADV rides/rallies I thing about every year, COVID notwithstanding.

anyway, be great to see you at StonyBARF or the Sheetiron, or whatever else we can plan this spring!

looking for some small mouth bass, but not finding any, with the old faithful fiberglass Orvis pack-rod and spinning reel ...
