The BARF admins have decided to remove the reputation system.
You may now cheer and/or complain.
Thank you for your time.
While most of us were proponents of installing the reputation system when we first upgraded, the admins agree it's been totally destroyed by postwhores trading reputation points, and serves absolutely no purpose now.
which always made me feel really good. Admins are smarter and better looking. And BTW, what's the difference between a mod and an administrator besides the parking space? It's really all just one big ego stroke.

Admins are smarter and better looking when bent over a fence.

THATS IT!!! Until you restore my REP I am wearing crouch-less underwear on every ride I goto!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you literally mean "crouch" - less, and that it somehow means you will ride standing up. Because the alternative just doesn't bear thinking about. It's probably for the best. I can't say I didn't have fun negative rep bitch slapping people around.![]()

...External Valadation I need more more more External Valadation ....
Absolutely. A lot of us were skeptical and figured it might eventually turn out to be useless and/or a pain in the ass. A majority of us still wanted to give it a shot, though.Let me be the first to say "haha!" I brought it up at the inception of that rep system on how's it's been an epic failure on the other boards I've been part of and it's better to just not go down this road at all. That led to people giving me negative rep! In the end, I win.

I worry that new users might assume, consciously or subconsciously, that the user who's been here longer and participated more (i.e. the one with a higher post count) would be more informed and trustworthy. That thought makes me shudder.
