Hey all

I'm getting my new bike this week and I'm assessing my ancient gear. I gave my aerostich roadcrafter to my nephew last year before I realized I actually wanted to keep riding so I'm busting out my really old hein gericke first gear stuff that I think I bought in 1993! and realized I'm missing some of the pads and probably should replace the ones that are there. Can anyone point me in the right direction for replacement armour? I've been off two wheels for at least eight years so I'm behind on the latest gear tech. I'll probably buy a new stich in the spring, but putting the old firstgear jacket on was like getting a big hug from an old friend. Plus it's so faded and crusty I just love it. Any suggestions appreciated.

An initial search online seemed like force field armour make replacement pads. Any others out there folks recommend? Looking forward to getting back out there. Thanks.

Daniel

Ya might want to go to Johnson Leather, in SF. They handle Force field, T-Pro armor, and can do anything. So look, see, talk...should = Smile.

I had my leathers armor pockets fixed up so they could fit Forcefield pads. Superb armor, very comfortable.

Another route is to just buy the Forcefield shirt and wearable back protector, wear it under the leathers.

Alrighty then. Thanks folks ill start with force field and see what happens. Thanks

CA Sport Touring is closer to you (if you're in Crockett) and they stock Forcefield armor as well.

Thanks for that! Perfect!!

There may be a little detail about having pockets made that fit the pads...so...a place that sews..

10 year old jacket might want a new liner, and armor pockets in that liner would be a natural.
