Reverse bleeding brakes

Seems simple, tried it today on my Hypermotard rear brake since it he position the caliper is mounted doesn't work for a regular bleed. I wasn't really able to get and fluid back to the master reservoir. Not sure if I just needed more pressure, but after blowing the hose off with a zip tie and feeling it expand with pressure while holding it on, I gotta assume I'm doing something wrong. Is this just not possible with ABS, I've reverse bleed the clutch on my KTM 950 with no issues so I'm stumped.

I also recently bled the rear brake fluid on my Duc, I had to unmount the caliper and remount it in such a way that it would be mounted at its highest point. It’s a choir because I had to unmount the rear wheel. Could be the ABS?

Yeah, I'm aware that method works, I just don't have the means to remove the wheel currently, I was hoping a reverse bleed would do the tick but it did not

Might look into those valves if I'm ever upgrading brakes.

If at first you don't succeed, screw the elegant solution and just go all in rear brake feels fantastic now.
