Fourth of July weekend. Perfect for a mellow ride down teh 9, a corn dog, a malt, and a brief chat with Richard.

Then this. :cry

It seems they closed last year. I’ve had many meals with barfers here. All good things must end. Oh well. Happy Fourth.

:rip

This news hurts my heart, Marc.
The abrupt closure of my favorite moto shops is already taking a toll on my fragile psyche.
And now another bastion of my sense of comfort is under fire.
First Hi-Fi in Petaluma....now this???.
I know I'm old, but my world just doesn't make sense anymore.
Perhaps I should just throw a leg over my dirt bike and ride off into the woods like an ailing old cat. :laughing

Oh, fiddle sticks! ;)

Foster's Freeze is one of my fav spots. Dad was raised in Boulder Creek, and I'd stop in for at least a root beer freeze regardless of need.

First one I can remember was in Grass Valley, out near west end of Brunswick perhaps? Good spot after Little League games.

There's one up here in Oroville. Used to visit the one in Napa when on my weekly jaunt to see parents in Yountville at the Vet's Home.

Nice version in Vacaville that has vintage car rallies quite often. Down south, I would frequent the Campbell Foster's Freeze after functions at Courtside TC in Los Gatos, the one there in LG closed long ago. Palo Alto has been closed for some time.

The Abbott family owns five in Salinas Valley. They are expanded as opposed to contraction. Their daughter, Monica, was an All-American softball pitcher at Univ. of Tennessee and for the Olympic team.

Yeah, I'm a fan of the Freeze. Hope Boulder Creek finds a franchise owner.

If anyone wants a good, old fashioned burger, check out Happy Hound in Los Gatos.

I'm with BillSmith, love a good rootbeer freeze! Sorry you lost your spot... I lost mine a very long time ago, Tastee Freeze.
^^This^^
Also, style points awarded for the use of the phrase "fiddlesticks".....so, there's that...

Growing up in Boulder Creek, I spent a LOT of time here.
Brought my own kids here later in life.
Sad that nothing is permenant.

Been there many times. Sad to see it go

Fosters Freeze in Fairfield, way back in high school, ('60's) this WAS the crusin' turn around, downtown to Fosters, loop. High HP cars, rumpitly rump over the speed bumps, bikes would wheelie, Owner had a daughter too, quite popular.
Still there last I checked. Both FF & VV. Fairfield & Vacaville, for the non locals.
