This is horrible.
Marco succumbed to injuries received after crashing in lap 2 at Sepang. He lost the front end, went down and Edwards rode right into his spine with Rossi hitting him right after. Edwards also went down sustaining a shoulder injury.
Total freak accident.

RIP simoncelli! I had big hopes for him in the future! full of potential with only 2 years of motogp expierence. He was able to keep up with top dogs!
I too was a big fan of simoncelli , I had some poster signed from him this last race at Laguna! This is a very sad day!

I feel horrible for Edwards and especially Rossi, who's front wheel struck his head with so much force Marco's helmet came off. It was a freak accident, but I know they were good friends, so I can't imagine what is going through Rossi's mind right now. What a horrible accident. Edwards disclocated his shoulder but is otherwise ok. Rossi had no physical injuries. The Dorna feed kept replaying the highlight with the upbeat highlight music while everyone was waiting for official word on Marco, which seemed really inappropriate, although I am sure they had no idea how seriously the situation was.
