They're not commonly available in the US but I have heard good things about them from the UK. No real world experience though. I would think that it's a higher quality helmet than your Schuberth.

I went into a Honda dealership in Germany and they had several ROOF helmets on display... I don't know if they were lower end of the model line-up or what, but they seemed rather flimsy (for lack of better term).

The Boxer V meets ECE 22.05 safety standards but is not DOT or Snell approved. It is currently not sold in the U.S.A. but can usually be ordered through UK dealerships who are willing to ship to the U.S.A. (but watch out for the weak dollar exchange rate and high shipping costs).

The chin strap is not a D-ring, which I think would suit the Boxer's style, but a relatively complicated release system that must be properly adjusted for the individual rider before the first use. I'm not sure why these complicated latches are becoming so popular on European helmets, but I am not a big fan, to say the least. (from web Bike World)

I just picked up a Roof Boxer V8. Awesome helmet. Reviving this thread in case anyone is wondering about them. The price wasn't bad (around $550 shipped from Italy to The Bay).

The locking mechanism on my Roof were 2 snaps. Not very conference inspiring. But it is cool.

Cool. Let us know if/when you get your first citation.

I have a roof boxer v awesome helmet you can pass by and check it out sometime. Rain doesnt get in. Noise is not an issue for me since i wear earplugs air flow is good only down side is the side chin vents. No way to close them.
