With the unexpected smash hit of the 250 supersport in Kawasaki's Ninja 250, we reported on Yamaha's development of its YZF 250 only last month. Of course, Honda isn't just about to be left out. We've heard reports of the company developing a new VTR Super Sport based on its VTR 250.

... Middle Stuff (Too tired to really translate all of it. sorry)

...With the unexpected hit of the Ninja 250 in Europe and America, it is no wonder that Honda is prepared to build a new bike with a world wide strategy in mind...

We've constructed a 3D artist's rendition of what this VTR super sports may look like.

So it seems that we might have a larger selection of 250 sports bikes. But honestly? I don't care. I'd rather have a plain old VTR250 for light sports touring. A more practical bike, with some relaxed ergos. Still, an interesting development, given the amazing prices over MSRP we're seeing on the Ninjas this summer.

Build it, and they will cum..........

that is hot. if they build it i'd buy one.

My wife used to have one of the old VTR250's and it was a blast to ride. It would seem the time is perfect for them to import a new 250 but I wouldn't hold your breath.

VTR!! 250!! *fingers crossed*:)

$6k!

So this bike would be being built to keep those mid-life crisisers offa those massive Harleys they're drawn to?

put a hawk GT swing arm on that and damn... that would look so sweet.

build it and i will cum

to the dealership to buy one.

Drop the price 2K... and I will consider it.

Cool, the 10-year-old Japan-market VTR250 finally gets a windscreen. :laughing

i was just thinking.... in this order.... hmmm that subframe might fit the hawk.... and even the tank.......AND the headlight..... geesh..... i gotta get outta this hawk phaze...:nerd

+1 for the swingarm comment too!

honda needs to birng back the hawk gt.

i still think that bike is all kinds of awesome.

FYI The Ninja 250s have always had relaxed ergos. Even the 08 has relaxed ergos. I wouldn't mind them a bit more aggressive.

^is that kawi green i see in your envy?

yamaha and honda need to jump on the 250 (and the 400cc bikes !!!!)sportbikes. Gas prices are rising and thats not going to change. But i would be interested in a cheap spec class with the 250's. That would be fun !!!

traitor.

If I had the dough I'd be a MEGA traitor cause I love bikes too much to just stick to one. :laughing

I want one of each 250 that comes out here. The prices will be low enough for that gluttony. (As opposed to the bigger bikes.)
