Rydther '24 Rally Photos

Great pics and it sounds like the gathering was a close knit one.
Did any females attend?
As John said... none at Hawthorne and none for Morro Bay either. We missed having Rhonda join us as she has been to more Rydther's than any other.

Still a good turnout really and it was a good group of dudes who mostly can still turn up the volume on Bar curls. :laughing

all men this year … perhaps if we do Hawthorne again next year, we’ll do better, female wise. my motorcycle riding wife has attended Hawthorne in the past, but she was traveling back east for this event. :thumbup
I would have felt out of place had I made it 😿 Once the2025 rally schedule is up let's start recruiting other barfers of the female persuasion. These rallies are so much fun when its a 50/50 between women and men.

We should do some social media recruiting as well see if we can get some new BARF blood in via a rally or two. I didn't take many pictures unfortunately, to busy hanging around I guess.

The ride up was solo, via 108, beautiful day for it.

Caught @Dr_SLO mid chain maintenance in this shot.

While the bikes slept we hit one of the local bars, free pool and some local character. No photos to protect the identities of the innocent.

Needles and I did indeed head to June Lake, lunch at June Lake brewing was great, and the weather was beautiful and merited a stop at the lake itself. I got a few shots during the ride but not much else :facepalm

Mustang Mountain (I believe) was looking good.

Not a single picture from Saturday night, but there was pizza, and much beer / booze consumed back in the hotel parking lot.

Sunday was beautiful again despite the potential weather front, which never really materialized aside from some pretty strong winds in the bay area.

@needles and I rode together with a plan to hit 89 and 4. Wilson Canyon made for a nice photo stop.

Took a break along 4 so this is the only shot I got there, always a good time on that road.

And that concludes my photos, fun weekend as always.

For me... too much work usually, but sometimes it is vacation time like this one was!!

360 video of the Budman group riding out to Hawthorne through twisties. Make sure you change quality to 4k or it looks bad:
Nice video, I did change to 4K much better. I did not know I could spin your picture. I have a 75" LG and the screen said look around. Really nice to be able to spin the picture and look behind you. How big was you file you uploaded? God friend has a instata 360 and he uploads Mp4 and I don't think I can spin the pictures on his videos.

I bought a dji acton 4 when I went to europe and now I want a new toy.

The files are huge for 20 minute plus videos. Around 40 to 50GB. Unfortunately, Youtube doesn't not show the full quality, even when you pick the highest resolutions. I record in 5.7K, but youtube only goes up to 4K.

Regarding your friend's videos, he is exporting as a normal (flat) video. In the Insta360 studio in Windows or Mac there is the option to export as 360 video or as a regular video, where you choose what views to export. In the mobile app, you can only export regular video files. You are basically a camera man later, choosing what to show from the 360 video when editing, or you can let the program auto edit.

this one time--at a BARF rally in Virginia City--Mr budman, Mr Enchanter, Mr @sweeping winger , myself and my wife and our little dog all showed up in various automobiles. :laughing:ride

our rental Ford just to the west of Sonora Pass, on the way to Mountain View BBQ in Walker, California, to catch up with the BARF rally crew for lunch …

seem to recall Mr budman making an appearance one year at the Hoho Rally in Weaverville in his own Corvette ... or was it a Cadillac? I neglected to get a pic. :facepalm
