My wife has decided she loves Sausalito and wants to wander around the town. We have had lunch at delis before riding the Marin Headlands.

Saturday is our anniversary (number 39:wow), and I want to take her to a nice spot. The Spinnaker and Scoma's look decent online. Any tips for great spots, hopefully on the water with a view?

Knowing my luck it will be totally fogged in..... :x

Parking in Sausalito sucks - any tips?

Scoma's is outstanding. Been an institution there for decades. Its the only place I know to recommend there, but I doubt it will let you down.

I don't have a lot to contribute but there appear to be a lot more options than when I moved here 15 years ago.

Beautiful place

On a Saturday there will be a lot of people in Sausalito.

There is a (big) public parking lot. Sausalito knows how to herd the parkers.

Regarding the parking issue, I think we'll take a ferry out of San Francisco.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far.

Scoma, Marinships, Taste of Rome, lots of good restaurants. Remember that parking absolutely sucks donkey bits.

Poggio's is great.

Bar Bocce is also fun, less $$ for sure.

Another option is Farley Bar at Cavallo Point, might be a 10 minute drive from Sausalito.

Le Garage on Liberty Ship Way is very good and in an off the beaten path in an Industrial area(well as about as industrial as you get in Sausalito). The Record Plant is nearby, tons of good albums have been recorded there. Check out the Bay Model too.
