looks painful. well, foot binding might not be in anymore, but i do remember getting told quite often when i was a kid that no one would ever want to marry me because of my big feet. my grandmother/mom and all the female relatives used to harp on me about my feet (among other things) at every family gathering, it was really embarrassing and they always made you feel like shit. over something you can't really control.. well, unless you do what that lady did x__x in the end i grew up to have pretty regular sized feet. my sister, however, has larger feet and is horribly self-conscious because of it. as in, she freaks out and thinks that she can only shop in the michael jordan section of the men's shoe store because she wears size 9s. standards for beauty are just plain whack.
seriously though. how many ladies try to buy the 37 instead of the 37.5? or try to get the smaller shirt/pant size because they don't want to be labeled as an XL? you might think this is ew, but we've got botox, plastic surgery, laser surgery, teeth bleaching, skin resurfacing, and a load of other very unnatural (and sometimes quite painful) procedures that are meant to "beautify". i mean.. how is this any different from a boob job, nose job, or facelift?
oh well..
