well this is my first write up and i still need to finish it, but i'll post up the rest later. first i took a long look at the bike to get my ideas straight.

unbolt the exhaust can, mine had three bolts

remove the can (i like the look without)

grind the rivets off to remove the cap (if yours have rivets)

measure the can for your desired length. take a piece of paper or magazine spine and bend it around the can to get a straight line
marking. then mark your line around the can. rotate the can 3 inches at a time measuring each time to make sure your line is straight.

make sure to stay away from useless tools like the ones that got me stuck this weekend
