Merely Rhetorical
Does anyone know how I can find out what our IT group is doing with the network connection?
The internet works fine, and is fast.
The file servers suck moist Harry balls.
If I rename a file or folder, it takes a long ~3 seconds to take effect and get my focus back.
If I drag/drop a file into a subfolder folder right there, I'll get a popup about malicious files.
If I copy files from HDD to the network, speeds drop to single digit bps, 10s, or 100's, and sometimes I'll see 1MB/s
If I save a simple spreadsheet, I'll see a save progress bar that takes about 5 s to complete the save.
Word takes a few seconds before it even displays the opening loading dialog - takes forever to open.
God forbit I have to save a 100MB Illustrator file on the NW - I'll go get a cup of coffee and it's still be saving.
