Smart car is the urban cow?

We used to do stuff like this in high school. We never flipped a car but we did turn a few VW bugs sideways in their parking stall so they had to wait for the person next to them to leave. This was all done on school campus in fun but I would never do something like that to a stranger. I would probably be in jail if I saw this happening to my car.

If somebody slams your motorcycle to the ground, would you think that to be "awesome" as well? :|

They didn't, so I'm just laughing at someone else's misfortune.

Now imagine instead of your smart car, someone decided to flip over your parked motorcycle.

how funny is it?

Not very. But that's why I carry full coverage. I'd probably end up getting more money than I paid for the bike and get myself an nice upgrade.

I'd imagine most folks finance their cars and are required to carry enough insurance for something like this.

You can get all butt hurt about it, but at the end of the day it's just property damage. I think the sentiment of "death to motorcycle thieves" is dumb as fuck. It's just a thing.

What about the sentiment of "Don't fuck with shit that's not yours"

It doesn't really matter if it's a bike, a smartcar, or whatever. It just shows a lack of respect for the property of others regardless of its monetary value.

maybe it's just me, but those cars look kinda cute upside down...

Exactly, mikev for mod :thumbup

society functions because of agreed upon rules that help uit maintain itself. ignoring something as basic as damage to things for fun, places you unworthy of being in society

Most of us have experienced some kind of vandalism whether to our cars, bikes or homes.

Not sure I've every heard of anyone lightheartedly just laughing if off.

Vandals suck.

Unfortunately, in today's "all about me" mindset, that very sentiment is oftentimes disregarded. :| You think the vandals actually gave a single f**k to what they did? :dunno

Now picking up a high school teachers Mini Cooper ( the original ones) and putting in the school lobby was funny - this is just vandalism.

Anybody doing this deserves to have their own property forfeited.

Of course not, because if they got their asses whooped for fucking with someone's shit then mommy and daddy would sue!

Vandals SUCK

A couple of years ago a guy at work bought a smart car and was all excited about it. He enthusiastically asks me if I want to take it for a spint, "No Tanks", I think I hurt his feelings.

But a Toyota IQ would be a whole other story. Surprising how much space inside this small car.

That's actually kinda neat looking. How much shit is not stock though considering it's a concept "race" car?

Looks like allot more than $1,000 damage to this one. A Smart car will set ya back about 8 to 15 grand. Hardly the vehicle of choice among the 1%ers people love to hate. That they weren't in garages might have been another clue the owners were most likely average earning wage slaves. But, lets ignore that because ... hey, it's funny when you dig deep and find something to hate about the owners or their transportation choices.

I wonder how much tech someone who creates a "Die Techie Scum" sticker uses. Pager, typewriter?:dunno

I'm too nice to wanta scratch up somebody's car, but I think it LOOKS hilarious, too but would never do it, etc et c etc

(Edited due to general outrage)

This. I'm torn between laughing my ass off, and feeling really sorry for the owner.

In high school people used to move my Honda 600 and my friends Fiat 128 all over the place ( ok, it was mostly me and my friend doing it to each other ) but no one ever damaged them :thumbup

I hate that people got their cars wrecked, I hope they don't become embittered by the experience.. I know it's hard not to. Like it or not, destructive behavior isn't completely abnormal for adolescent males... MOST of us outgrow it.

In my opinion, people that do this shit, generally don't have shit to forfeit.

Yeah, they just need to get over it and adjust. Lets see ... pay the $500 to $1,000 deductible; get the car fixed; probably gonna be a rate increase next year, so factor that in; hmmm ... not enough cash left to rent a garage, plus the nearest one's ten blocks away; but can't afford to be the provider of this much fun anymore either ...

So, sell the car and slap some "Save the Environment" stickers on one of these. Now everyone's happy. :thumbup
