I don't think he saved anything. I think he was lucky the van driver didn't go any further to the right. But I could be wrong

Gonna disagree. Guy in front came around a turn, guy behind was flying. Guy in front wouldn't have ever seen him in his mirrors.
 
I imagine a lot of people forget that the Isle of Man is actually a place where people live and not a big, free race track.
