Damn! Did Bayliss put it out there! Thought he was going to be done and cruise in, but was I wrong. Ducati takes 1st and 2nd.

And what a bonehead move by Haga! What was he thinking... took himself out.

Race 2

Ducati takes 2nd and 3rd

I'm glad to see Ducati in the series but having 50% of the top 10 at superpole then a factory and a satelite 1098 take top 2 ..Not to take away from the crazy talent Bayliss and Biaga have. How about upping the 3 kilo penalty to 15.

i haven't watched the second race yet but i'm about to.

I liked Bayliss's little look back at Biaggi, "Hey mate, try to catch me on the straightaway." Nice showing for Ducati, particularly at Qatar, where they have not been successful in the past. I imagine this will help 1098 sales.

Looks like it's gonna be an exciting season.

Two races, one round and there's already been 5 different guys on the podium. :cool

..

Just watched the second race. I don't know what to think of this series.

:dunno

let's see what happens.

Yamaha should petition for a stroker engine :laughing

Don't know what to think about this series? How about this will probably be the series to watch this year!!!

we'll see. if ducati get's a bunch of 1-2's or 1-2-3's i'll probably stop watching. (which is hard for me cause i want Bayliss to win) :cry

The poor Ducatis looked at a horrible disadvantage. They need to allow 1400cc for twins.:|

Good outing by Ruben. Poor Haga, dumb, but he didn't really wreck himself, Biaggi helped him out. He might have went down even if he had held on with both hands. He always seems to land right on his head.:laughing

Looks to be another great year!

Great 1st race to start the beginning of the WSBK season..Gonna watch the second in a few..Hate to see Haga highside the way that he did..Guess he let his emotions get the best of him.
So why is this guy not on the Podium since the migration from BSB?

I was wondering the same thing, Schteve. I guess kiyo is having trouble with the new bike. Really sad for a guy who just won back to back championships in BSB to be finishing 30 seconds behind the leaders. Even Gregorio Lavilla is ahead of him in the standings, tied with Haga.

Well, guess it still is early for the Ten Kate team..Wonder if Checa or Sofuoglu will beat him in the standings..Toseland is surely missed..

Really dissapointed in Haga today. Seemed like he was going to flip off Biaggi right before he highsided. Lost control of his emotions I quess. To mid pack finishes is not the way to start the season. Glad to see Corser podium. Biaggi and Bayliss look strong. Really impressed by Bayliss in the first race. Great pass to win the first race. I didnt have a problem with the announcers. Hate the commericals though.

I just paused it during the commercials and then came back and skipped through them. DVR rules. :)

Bayliss was un freakin' believable in race one. I think he went off track three or four times and still won. Haga's antics were just plain stupid. I wonder if he will be a force to reckon with this season. Still, good racing overall.

Anyone want to do a road trip to Utah in June?:ride

I just finished watching both races. It sure is nice having the racing season start up again. Stupid question, whats the difference if there is one in the two races? Are they only allowed to run the bike near stock in the first race then do just about what ever they want for the second?

I haven't seen any footage yet, but how does it look? Is the Ducati displacement advantage a bit too much? Is there a visible acceleration or top speed difference? Differences in trap speeds?

I like Ducatis and I dig Bayliss, but a displacement advantage in world championship racing just doesn't seem right to me.
