I have this sqeaking noise coming from i think my back suspension and it only happens when im backing up my bike can anyone tell me whats going on?

Thank you.....

Once I had small pebble (mebbe 1.5 mm in diameter) that got wedged near my rear brake pad. It was just barely touching the rotor. It wore itself down directionally and I never heard it while moving forward. However, when I pushed the bike backwards to park it, it would always cause a strange squeek. I was stumped and decided to tear apart the rear caliper to figure out what was going on. I pulled the caliper off and instantly saw the half ground-down pebble and figured out what was happening.

This MIGHT be your problem, based on your description, but it is a longshot. So many things could cause a uni-directional squeek.

Good luck! -Matt

actually..not sure if you ever got this figured out..but...i had that problem too, and later on figured out what it was.....when you back up, your legs hit the rearset(pegs of whatever) and cause it to fold up, and that was where my squeeks were coming from...

^^^^^^^

I was going to say the same exact thing, happened to me before.

sorry for the late reply, but yea that was the problem after all i found out when i was sitting on my bike and swingin my leg back and forth lifting the peg up.
